Another award and Golden Plaque in Makarska

At the 12th ‘Festival klapa uz mandoline i gitare’ in Makarska on 26 August 2016 we won the Golden Plaque – as judged by the expert jury – and the Audience Award. 11 well-known klapas performed, and the festival was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, and Split-Dalmatia County, organised by the City of Makarska and the Makarska Tourist Board.

Kaše performed the songs ‘Tamo di brnistra cvate’ (V. Dragojević – P. Mirić) and ‘Tiho je negdje svirala mandolina’ (L. Capurso – D.Mojaš). At the award ceremony, at the audience’s request, the popular ‘Perunjela’ was also sung. Klapa Kaše now has more than 40 awards, which means it is still regarded as one of the most decorated klapas in the country. Next year it will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of its existence.
