Audience award and gold in Makarska

At the 13th ‘Festival klapa uz mandoline i gitare’ in Makarska, this year too we won the Golden Plaque – as judged by the expert jury – and the Audience Award.

Klapa Kaše performed the song ‘Srce oriđinala’ from the new documentary series ‘Storije o neponovljivima – o dubrovačkim oriđinalima, boemima, osobenjacima i drugim vlastitim unikatima’ by Vedran Benić. The composer of the original music for the documentary series is the klapa’s artistic director Vicko Dragojević. The song ‘Bilo je jugo’, with lyrics by Davor Mojaš and music by Vicko Dragojević, was also performed. These are the two newest compositions of the most decorated klapa in the country, which this year celebrates the tenth anniversary of its existence.

The festival was held on 25 August 2017 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, and Split-Dalmatia County, organised by the City of Makarska and the Makarska Tourist Board. 12 well-known klapas performed.
