“Misa svetoga Vlaha” by Vicko Dragojević

The premiere of the Misa sv. Vlaha, composed by Vicko Dragojević, was held in the Church of St Blaise. It is an a cappella concert work in 9 movements, composed for male klapa, or male choir, and it was premiered by Klapa Kaše. The concert premiere of the Misa sv. Vlaha was held as part of Festa 2020 Dubrovnik, on the evening before the start of the celebration of the feast of Dubrovnik’s patron saint.

Although this was a premiere, some movements of the Mass had already been performed earlier, such as the composition “Oče naš”, which was performed at the Cro Patria 2018 festival, where it won a special diploma for a young/new composer.
