‘Misa svetoga Vlaha’ nominated for the Porin award
The album ‘Misa svetoga Vlaha’ by Dubrovnik’s Klapa Kaše has been nominated for the Porin music award in the category Best Klapa Music Album! It is the compositional work of Vicko Dragojević, leader and member of the klapa, who worked on it, movement by movement, for several years, using liturgical texts in six of the nine compositions, while ‘Ti si duša grada’, ‘Kruše sveti’ and ‘Dah tvoj grije bijeli kamen’ were set to lyrics by Božo Vodopija.
The new release was published by Geenger Records. Recording and editing were done by Šime Lukšić, and mastering by Žarko Dragojević. Nora Mojaš and Made Milićević were responsible for the beautiful graphic design. The release was supported by the Croatian Composers’ Society.
‘Misa svetoga Vlaha’ is Klapa Kaše’s fourth album. It is the successor to the album ‘Tezoro’, which was also nominated for a Porin, in 2020, in the category Best Pop-Folklore Music Album.
