Presenting ‘Marčelina’!

We continue our run of successful singles with the release of ‘Marčelina’, the lead song of the new studio release ‘Tezoro’. The music and lyrics are by Vicko Dragojević, while the arrangement was done by Eduard Botrić and Vicko Dragojević. ‘Marčelina’, like the other compositions on the new studio album, carries the spirit of the old singing of the Dubrovnik gentry, listening carefully to the musical pulse of their region.

The video for this composition has just been released, with beautiful shots of Dubrovnik and a view of the Kaše breakwater in the old port. The main character and soloist in this song is the klapa’s second tenor, Marijo Anđelić. The music and lyrics of the latest single are by Vicko Dragojević. ‘Marčelina’ was presented at the 21st ‘Večeri dalmatinske pisme – Kaštelanski đir’ 2019, a festival that also featured many of klapa Kaše’s award-winning songs. This single heralds the new studio album ‘Tezoro’, which will be released this summer.

The third album brings all the well-known compositions with which Kaše have appeared at festivals, but there will also be several completely new ones. The music for the whole album is by the klapa’s artistic director Vicko Dragojević, and alongside him the lyrics were written by Božo Vodopija, Pjero Mirić and Davor Mojaš. ‘Petrunjela’, grand prix winner at ‘Dalmatinska šansona Šibenik’ 2015, ‘Tamo di brnistra cvate’ from the 2016 ‘Splitski festival’, and hits from ‘Večeri dalmatinske pisme Kaštelanski đir’ and the ‘Festival dalmatinskih klapa Omiš’ make up just part of the new release.

After the albums ‘Rego’ and ‘Tragom Republike’, Kaše have prepared ‘Tezoro’, and while you wait for it, follow their performances at festivals and concerts throughout Dalmatia and in Dubrovnik as part of the ‘Ulicama našeg Grada’ programme.
