Video for the new single ‘Godine su brodovi’

Crowned with awards at this year’s Večeri dalmatinske šansone, the song “Godine su brodovi” has also got a fantastic video that brings together the perfect voices of Klapa Kaše, paper boats, unquenchable longing and the beauty of the Dubrovnik region.

From the very beginning, the work of Dubrovnik’s Klapa Kaše has been inspired by the region they come from. The song of the Dubrovnik gentry of old has left an indelible mark on their songs, and so it is with the new hit, which won many hearts at its very first hearing at the 25th Večeri dalmatinske šansone Festival in Šibenik.

The song “Godine su brodovi” received awards for singer-songwriter work and for the best lyrics, written by Dubrovnik journalist, writer and theatre-maker Davor Mojaš. The music and arrangement are the work of journalist and klapa leader Vicko Dragojević.

The magical shots of the video, by Dominik Miljak, were filmed at Pile in Dubrovnik, at Penatur and below Lovrijenac Fortress, and the video also features the well-known Croatian presenter Darija Mikulandra Žanetić, who captured the atmosphere of the song perfectly.

With the new song, just as with the unforgettable Petrunjela, they won over the Šibenik audience, the critics and the awards at the first attempt. That is proof enough of its quality. They have thus continued a run of excellent songs, awards, accolades and praise which began 15 years ago with student dreams and continues at the top, among the biggest names of the Croatian klapa scene.
